Pennington Palm Productions - Homeless Projects

We are an independent film production company dedicated to helping the homeless in our society. We are on a mission to change the way the world sees our homeless. To get one person to help one person, to actually make a difference to these desolate people.

October 2006, in Houston, Texas we started a television series called the “Invisible People-Achieving a Visible Connection” (currently airing in Houston, TX), and we have changed lives for many people. We have helped raise money and volunteers for foundations that aid the homeless. We have brought dignity and much-needed items to the homeless to enable them to get jobs. But most important we have brought them love and very much desired, human connection.

Our goal is in getting this program aired nationally to effect more people in wanting to help. But the important thing is that we have produced a three time award winning program that teaches how a regular person can help the homeless, with poignant interviews, capturing the personality and feelings of these homeless citizens of America, our own third world country.

This program highlights the many problems surrounding the homeless people as well as charities and shelters that help. Our goal is to raise money and volunteers for the foundations who support these people.

We have taken this worldwide by not only entering the New York International Independent Film and Video Festival in New York, and in Cannes, France, but by an Internet Television Station that will start airing our Series coming later in 2008. We are going to expose the plight of thousands of homeless in all the cities throughout the United States. We want to put a face to these American citizens and explain who they are and how they became part of our own third world conditions right here on the streets of America.

Through actual interviews and video footage with homeless citizens, you will see what it is really like for these people living on the street. This is investigative reporting in action. A special song written especially for the homeless people will be featured which was written and performed by Dwayne Daigle. Zack Cardigan is a unique and humanitarian fiction novel. It is about an eight-year-old boy that has lost his mother due to a drug over dose. He has no other family so he decides to live on the streets. Having a high IQ, he continues his education through books and the local library. This story takes you through his rough times on the street, to the good times that he has with his new found homeless friends, always giving to the ones who need it most.

This character will have you cheering him on and crying for the sadness and happiness he brings to so many people. His struggles to achieve goals and his success in achieving them will give so many people a new outlook on life.

We would like to introduce you to our Pennington Palm Productions' Homeless Outreach Program. Our purpose for this program is to meet the immediate needs of the homeless, physically, emotionally, and spiritually. We successfully achieve the trust and love from the homeless people that we come in contact with on the streets. They are aware that we are truly doing this from the heart. We talk and listen to them to find out what needs they have.

We have provided needs such as work boots that have helped to allow men to get jobs, blankets for warmth, back packs packed full of goodies such as clothing, toiletries, prepackaged food items, books, and bus passes, and most importantly we provide our love. We are grateful that we have made a visible connection with our homeless friends.

Not only are items needed to give to the homeless, but a helping hand is needed as well. It takes a lot of time to gather these items, packaging, and then the joy of handing out!
